Our History

We designed, built and completed our home in 2008. Moving from Nanaimo to Nanoose Bay has been a delightful experience and we wish to share the beauty of our area and all of Vancouver Islands wonderful sites with you.

Prior to moving to Nanoose Bay, we spent 10 years enjoying running a waterfront Bed & Breakfast in Nanaimo, and during that time, studied what exactly people are looking for in a ‘getaway’. Now, we are offering two modern, fully contained, brand new units that are totally private and surrounded by amazing natural elements.
We are conveniently located between Nanaimo and Parksville in a very interesting micro climate area. We have much less rain and more sun than our bordering cities. The Inn At The Estuary is minutes away from the world class Fairwinds Golf Course and close to many other courses. Beaches also surround us.

Our Inn is also centrally located on Vancouver Island making it easy for you to tour the whole Island and come back to relax and soak in your outdoor jetted tub for a good nights rest in your suite.

Harold was born in Nanaimo, and Marianne was born in Norway, as a young child, imigrated to Canada, and have lived here all our married life, so we will be happy to provide you with lots of ideas and information about things to do and see on the Island. We have done extensive travelling just right here in our own back yard, so to speak, so we can be very helpful in planning your activities while you are visiting us.
