What’s happening at our Parksville Resort Vacation Rental

Huge bubbles coming from in the ground, do not have any idea what causes this to happen. Is especially dramatic at high tides. This is located just in front of our house and can only be seen via Kayak.During the colder months, if you have a BC saltwater fishing license, you can dig for clams and pick oysters off the beach in front of our home.

Welcome to our Waterfront Resort-like Vacation Rentals and Bed and Breakfast Accommodations. Announcement!!! It is with Bitter Sweet feelings, we are announcing our retirement from the B&B as of October 1, 2016. We would like to thank all of our fabulous Guests we’ve had over the years for giving us the wonderful opportunity to be your hosts. Should our home sell to people who would like to continue to run the B&B, we will make that announcement then.

 Inn The Estuary B&B/Vacation Rental is located literally in Nanoose/Bonnel Estuary in a completely surrounded sensitive protected area and borders on over 80 acres of Federal Wildlife Reserve. During seasonal extremes tides and storm activities, we are almost completely surrounded by ocean water. This sanctuary we live in provides awesome displays of many types of birds and other animals all year round. There are more than 200 species of plants and more than 190 species of animals, of which 131 are bird species that makes their home here in this ever changing environment.

November 2014 brought some really high tides. Lots of kayaking done by guests. Added to many sunny days made this a special time.

History of our Vancouver Island Vacation Rental Location

There is so much history on this location and the construction of Inn The Estuary. We are often asked how we could possibly build a house in a sensitive setting like this!!!

When we bought this property about 5 years ago, this was a meadow that was dyked off about 30 years prior.
